The Bureau currently has established the ISO 14001 environmental management system integrated with the ISO 9002 system. It will integrate our management systems and improve the capability of the Bureau for higher competitiveness with the green environment concept.
We will ensure the compliance with environmental protection regulations, paying attention to pollution prevention and enhancing resources recovery by continually implementing the ISO 14001 environmental management system. By doing so, the interaction between the staff and people will be improved and a good image of the Bureau will be established. On the other hand, the capability of the staff to deal with emergencies will be enhanced and the risk will be environmentally and safely reduced. The Bureau not only establishes systems that conform to ISO Standard but also maintains the long-term operation and continual improvement of the quality system. All things mentioned above need the staff to participate in them and follow up.
The responsibility of the environmental protection agency is closely linked with the public. In order to give consideration to environmental protection, suppliers’ rights and interests and welfare of citizens, the standard internal management procedure must be established for reducing abuses and disputes. The government should service the public actively and improve its quality in every aspect to meet changing time and public requirements. By doing so, the public will have much more faith in the operations and functions of the government and the credibility of the government will be enhanced.
